Stage 01
Put your technical knowledge to the test with questions covering CS fundamentals, DSA, programming, core computer science, and technology.
Stage 02
Turn your ideas into a working solution. Shortlisted teams receive a problem statement and limited time to develop a solution or prototype.
Stage 03
Present your solution in a Shark Tank-style pitch. Communicate your approach and demonstrate why your idea deserves attention.
Stage 04
The final stage of the competition. The top three teams advance to compete for the Codepati Crown.

Participants should complete the official registration process before taking part in the competition. Check the official event announcement for registration deadlines and any applicable requirements.
The competition consists of four stages: Tech Quiz, Hack It, Pitch It, and the Codepati Crown final. Each stage evaluates a different combination of technical knowledge, problem-solving, development, and presentation skills.
The Tech Quiz covers CS fundamentals, data structures and algorithms, programming, core computer science, and technology-related topics. The top 50 teams qualify for the next stage.
Shortlisted teams receive a problem statement and a limited amount of time to develop a solution or prototype. This round focuses on problem-solving, implementation, and technical execution.
In the Pitch It round, teams present their solution in a Shark Tank-style format. Evaluation includes innovation, approach, feasibility, prototype or implementation, and presentation quality.
The top-performing teams progress through the competition, with the top three teams advancing to the final Codepati Crown round.
Kaun Banega Codepati is scheduled for 2nd and 3rd October 2026. Participants should follow official announcements for the detailed schedule and round-wise timings.
